Mastodon Updates#

Mastodon (glitch-soc) v4.4.3 was released, containing various fixes including some minor security issues.

Verification Scam Spam#

There was another wave of verification scam messages coming in, this time either from randomly named accounts, or from previously legitimate accounts that had been compromised, for example due to using the same passwords that were leaked from other services.

As always, please remember to:

  • Be on the lookout for scams.
  • Report any scams that you see or receive.
  • And use unique passwords for each service!
